Their Story
A Promise Born on September 11
The Tunnel to Towers Foundation carries the name of one firefighter’s final run, and it has turned that run into a lasting promise to the families of America’s heroes.
On September 11, 2001, FDNY firefighter Stephen Siller had just finished his shift when he heard the news. With the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel closed to traffic, he strapped on roughly 60 pounds of gear and ran through it to the World Trade Center. He gave his life saving others that day.
His family founded Tunnel to Towers to honor that sacrifice. Today the foundation delivers mortgage-free homes to Gold Star families and to the families of fallen first responders, builds Smart Homes for catastrophically injured heroes, and works to end veteran homelessness across the country.
Mentor Golf Carts & Trailers is putting this page, our showroom and our customer community behind that mission. We do not take a cut and there is no promotion attached. Every online gift goes directly to the foundation.
They ran toward danger for all of us. The least we can do is make sure their families never stand alone.
